Wrigley Evacuation Update - July 3, 2026

As we enter into the weekend, here's a recap of the information around the Wrigley Evacuation to Fort Smith.

The Town of Fort Smith and partners are now supporting 72 registered evacuees

The Fort Smith Centennial Arena at 13 Rupert Ave is the Evacuation Centre. Evacuees can check-in at this location to register if they have not already.

Registered evacuees from Wrigley are provided meal services & accommodation. Registered evacuees from Fort Simpson may access meal services but not accommodation.

All restaurants and food service providers in Fort Smith are providing meals to registered evacuees. Daily required meal forms are available at the check-in desk at the Pelican Rapids Inn

Meal services for registered Fort Simpson evacuees will continue only while the Fort Smith Evacuation Centre remains open to support Wrigley evacuees.

General donations are not being accepted. Specific requests may be made and posted in the Fort Smith Community Bulletin Board https://www.facebook.com/groups/194171650636352

 

Wrigley remains under the Evacuation Order given on June 29, 2026. The Town of Fort Smith was designated as the host community for evacuees from Wrigley. Going to the designated host community allows for effective continuity of service as well as having accurate numbers so that resources are allocated based on need.
