Each year the Town Council allocates limited budget funding to support community events.
Community groups or organizations that can demonstrate financial need and are interested in requesting a donation from the Town of Fort Smith are encouraged to review the Town of Fort Smith Donation Policy and complete the Donation Request Form, attached below.
The following guidelines will help to get you started:
- All requests should be in writing; addressed to the Senior Administrative Officer and submitted well in advance of the event to ensure approval is received prior to proceeding with the event.
- One request per organization will be considered in a calendar year.
- Priority will be given to projects, events and/or activities that promote tourism, recreation, sport, culture, fine arts, and/or heritage.
- The community group/organization shall be based within the geographic boundaries of the Town of Fort Smith
- The community group /organization must acknowledge the Town’s contribution in all publicity relating to the event.
