What have we been up to?
In March 2024, we held Community Engagement Sessions on the Community Plan and the Zoning Bylaw for Fort Smith. Since then, we have been making updates to both documents based on what we heard.
Why are we updating these documents?
The Community Planwill help us plan for the future of Fort Smith by considering current and future needs. It was last updated in 2014, and a lot has changed since then!
The Zoning Bylaw is the guideline for how lands in Fort Smith should be developed. It includes regulations like setbacks and landscaping. It was also last updated in 2014, so we need to make sure the guidelines make sense for the future development of the Town.
