Bylaw enforcement

Ronald Schaefer is the Bylaw Enforcement Officer for the Town of Fort Smith. He is responsible for enforcing all of the town’s bylaws, including the bylaws governing ATVs, snowmobiles, dog control, and unsightly premises.

The Bylaw Enforcement Officer is on call weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including noon hour. He can be reached by phone at (867) 872-8400 via Town Hall, or on his cell phone at (867) 872-0102.

After-hours bylaw complaints can be reported the following work day during on-call hours.

After-hours bylaw emergencies can be reported to the RCMP at (867) 872-1111.
